Enjoy a scenic ten mile return train journey to Manuel along the Forth Estuary, through woodlands, past waterfalls and over the Avon Viaduct. In addition, our friendly volunteers are waiting to welcome you aboard and invite you to soak up the atmosphere of our award-winning heritage railway through the sights, sounds and smells of yesteryear.
Easily, located on the scenic Firth of Forth, Bo’ness is conveniently less than an hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow and in addition only 15 minutes from South Queensferry.
Visit the Museum of Scottish Railways and explore three large buildings filled with locomotives, carriages, wagons and other railway artefacts. There is always plenty to see and do, from simply climbing on the footplate of a locomotive to sorting letters in the Post Office Sorting coach (a separate charge applies).
